You have a great web site, was reading about your Blazer please check out some of mine on this site www.geocities.com/davmar40484/blazer and also my home page if you wish i have lots of info plus free music. I bought one of these blazers last year and it had been stored 18 years, looks like it just came off the assy line and still has the new truck smell inside. |

I loved seeing the '79 Olds Starfire restoration. That was my first car. My dad pulled the old bait and switch on me; he brought home a red V6 Starfire with Automatic trans AM/FM Cassette and leather trim, power everything, the works. My sister and I test drove it and loved it so he said he was going to buy it and bring it home the next evening. He came home with a silver 4 cylinder, 4 speed manual with no options to speak of. I drove it for almost eight years of high school and college for about 120,000 miles. Somehow "the Silver Bullet" made it as far as college graduation when I was able to trade for a new Honda Accord. When I went to the Honda dealership to pick up the new car, (they had agreed to a trade value on the Starfire without seeing it) I coasted into the dealer lot under the power of gravity and momentum only. The Silver Bullet was oficially dead. |
